Privacy Promise

This agreement specifies the types of data collected during your usage of the service, and our storage, usage, and transfer of that information. You must accept this agreement (hereinafter referred to as "Agreement") in its entirety, including all of its terms and conditions, before you can use the Service. By using the Service, you accept this agreement and agree to abide by its terms and conditions. Jamestown Area Labor-Management Committee, in its sole discretion, may add, delete, or modify some or all of the features of the Service at any time. 1. Authority 1.1. Jamestown Area Labor-Management Committee, the provider of the Service, will have final authority over decisions regarding data collection, usage, and disclosure. Jamestown Area Labor-Management Committee retains the right to collect, store, and disclose the data of the Service, as it sees fit, in accordance and compliance with applicable laws and jurisdiction. 2. Personal Data Collected 2.1. Personal data is collected in various sections of the Service. 2.2. PUBLIC. In the public section of the Service, when you are submitting a comment about the content of a page, we may collect your email address if you want a direct reply to your question. The usage of this information is described in the Usage section below. 2.3. SUBSCRIBER. In the subscriber section of the Service, when you sign up for an account, we collect your email address so that we can inform you when a new article is published. When you pay for use of the service, we collect your first and last name, your billing address, telephone number, and payment information, including account numbers and bank information. Usage of this information is described in the Usage section below. 3. System Data Collected 3.1. System data is collected automatically during your use of the Service. 3.2. IP ADDRESS. We collect the Internet Protocol (IP) address that your computer is using to connect to the internet, for purposes of tracking your progress through our system. We use this tracking data to determine what pages you were viewing, in what order, so that we may improve the website for you and other visitors. We also use the tracking data to record information that you submitted through input forms in the Service, such as when submitting a comment about a page. In the event of illegal use of the Service and / or in violation of our Terms Of Service (which is incorporated herein by reference), the IP address data and your activity data collected will be used to prosecute you to the fullest extent of the law. 3.3. BROWSER TYPE. We collect the type and version of the web browser that you are using to view our website, for purposes of determining the needs of our customers and ensuring that certain sections of our website work correctly. If you are using a web browser type or version that is incompatible with our system, we will instruct you on how you can change your browser to a compatible version. 3.4. COOKIES. We use cookies to save information about your preferences when using the Service. A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your computer when you visit a website. We use cookies in various sections of the website, as described below: 3.4.1. COOKIES, PUBLIC. We use a cookie to indicate that you have viewed a specific article from our newsletter in the Service, to properly count the number of times that article has been viewed. This cookie is temporary. It is deleted when you close the browser window. 4. Usage 4.1. Usage of the data collected is limited to internal procedures of the Service. 4.2. PUBLIC, Personal Data Collected, Email Address. Your email address will be stored in our system along with your comment, for use in sending you a reply email when your comment is processed. If the comment and or answer is updated in the future, we may choose to send you a follow up email. Jamestown Area Labor-Management Committee may send you an email message asking you to participate in usage surveys on the effectiveness of the Service. You may choose to stop receiving these survey emails by following the instructions in the email received. 4.3. CLIENT, Personal Data Collected, Email Address. Your email address will be stored in our system along with your other data for use in sending you a notification emails when new articles are published, and other Service related messages. Jamestown Area Labor-Management Committee may send you an email message asking you to participate in client surveys on the effectiveness of the Service. You may choose to stop receiving these survey emails by following the instructions in the email received. 4.4. CLIENT, Personal Data Collected, Payment Data. Your payment data and billing address information will be stored in our system in encrypted form, for use in processing payments on your account. Details of the encryption process is security sensitive and is not made available to any employees of Jamestown Area Labor-Management Committee, unless that employee has the required security clearance to view such information. Sensitive payment information is stored in accordance with the payment processors rules and regulations, and in following current industry standards and best practices. All information stored in this manner is traceable through the use of system activity logs and can be audited for investigative purposes. 5. Disclosure and Exchange 5.1. The data collected will never be disclosed to outside parties without your advanced permission, unless ordered by a court of law. Data is only available to employees of Jamestown Area Labor-Management Committee, for the use in managing this information and assisting you in your use of the Service. Your email address is not visible to the public visitors of the website to prevent spam bots from collecting your email address. All emails sent through our system are trackable through the use of an activity log file, for purposes of tracking fraud and abuse. 6. Security 6.1. The data collected is protected by security precautions. Data is only available to employees of Jamestown Area Labor-Management Committee, and any transfer of data for backup purposes is encrypted prior to transfer. Details of the encryption process is security sensitive and is not made available to any employees of Jamestown Area Labor-Management Committee, unless that employee has the required security clearance to view such information. In the unlikely event of a security breach where data was viewed, erased, or stolen, you will be notified through your email account on file at the time of incident. 7. Revision 7.1.
